Are these pearl rings all freshwater or some of them Tahitian?

They all look to me like freshwaters.
  2. Pearl Dreams

    What are these pearls?

    1. Colors are wrong for Tahitians 2. too small for Tahitians 3. glossy sort of finish-- not pearl-looking 4. Not dyed freshwaters either, too long ago for that shape 5. Not typical color for dyed akoyas

Please help me identity these pearls!

They appear to be imitations. See the pearl that has a bit of excess swirly coating near the drill hole? That is typical of fakes.

    What are these pearls?

Some other kind of bead material, not pearl.

Mike Brennan, Pearl.... Something or other

    What a scam!

Please help identify my pearls. 7mm with silver clasp. Is this blue akoya and how much should it cost approximately? Thank you

Strung with silicone bumpers, probably on wire. There is great uniformity in the pearls-- color, size, luster. I am leaning toward imitation pearls.

    Super interesting & tragic Mikimoto

It sounds to me like the owner consigned them with a local jeweler, who may or may not succeed in selling them at that price. If the seller tehn drops the price the OP may be able to get them to get them for less. Did I get that right?

    Jaccard’s Pearl Appraisal

The necklace appears to be to be a very pretty strand of akoya pearls, well matched and lustrous. It's hard to say from the photos if the earrings are also akoya as many ladies buy imitation pearl earrings, but if there is a metal mark indicating they are karat gold then they are likely akoyas...

    Super interesting & tragic Mikimoto

That is still a very cool strand of pearls, @A Breaker, clasp or no clasp.

    Blue akoya or Tahitian

I wonder if Cees (Cees Van Oije on Instagram) sells baroque blue akoyas? I'm not on Instagram so I can't check on that.

    Blue akoya or Tahitian

Is that the one you love most, or is it just the most affordable one, being the lowest priced one on that page? This matters. In my experience one should get what one most wants, or save for it. Otherwise it will be the one to replace.

    Blue akoya or Tahitian

Tahitian tin cups will always be available, but great baroque blue akoyas come and go.

    Please help identify my pearls?

They look like akoya pearls to me (saltwater).
  18. Pearl Dreams

    What color Akoyas? Treated?

That is exactly why I got all three of my vintage consigned akoya strands so cheaply. They were unattractively dull from the patina of grime and were priced low, but they cleaned up beautifully. Then they just needed to be restrung.

    Help identify if Chinese Pearls?

Check the auction carefully for the necklace's length (is it a good fit for your mother's neck?) and whether the seller accepts returns.
