From what I can see of the hallmark on the clasp it is assayed in Birmingham, England (the anchor mark), is 9 carat gold (the 375) and also I think it is a 9 which precedes it. 9 carat gold is common in both England & Australia. I cannot make out the last symbol, but it should be a letter...
I thought it said 950 which being Japanese and vintage, tends to fit. Often they were marked 950 with the sterling mark I think for selling in other countries and because 950 exceeded the requirements for sterling.
I cannot think of anything at all which comes with a 20 year guarantee. Like Pearl Dreams says, wipe them off with a damp cloth and place them in a protective, breathable bag. Does she wear perfume? Perfume will seriously damage a pearl.

On the CFW necklace, the beads in between look like daisy rondelles to me. They can be made in vermeil, plated or in gold I found out today. I doubt that they would be so generous with gold daisy rondelles but you never know.
