I used to see Jhonny Lu (LuPearl/LuCoral) as a good source. I haven't been in touch with this company in decades, but they hade every kind of shell, shape, sizes... I believe this is their site: https://www.luperla.com/

    I think it's around 150-200 years old

Hello @cenkbaba and welcome to our forum. Hard to say with the photos...you should go to a Dentist for better photos. Pearls look amazing under dental X rays. They are definitively nice looking baroque pearls. The larger and rounder one looks cultured to me, maybe a South Sea pearl. The x rays...

Hi there @DavidS and welcome to our forum! I see some mother of pearl beads there, this could mean that this is a cultured pearl necklace. Most likely. But I also see what seem to be faux pearls (imitations) and some beads that resemble glass...I think this is a mashup necklace made with all...

Need advices on an undecided Mabe pearl purchase

I believe -truly- that what we like is something unique to each. Someone may tell you that one kind of item is magnificent (and it may be, from a technical viewpoint) but one may find something different to be more exciting. Meaning: are you beer or wine? Dog or cat? beach or mountain? It's all...

    Pearls from the Victorian period

I agree with @BWeaves The round pearl might also be an Akoya pearl, but hard to distinguish from the photo.

I would glue it to my forehead if I had no other way of using it. Just kidding...you gotta show us the final piece once you have it made. Best to use it for a pendant if you slam your rings too much, as you state.
