What’s the difference, where to get? Oysters.

Hi there! It won't be easy. You will need to feed them adequately or they will end up stunted, weaken and die. You will have to start your own microalgae culture or find a supplier of dry & powdered algae to make your own "pearl oyster mix". Then, you need to find someone that sells pearl...

    Help with ring

    Help identify this Pearl Ring

I sure hope you got a reputable Gem lab certificate for the pearl. If not: definitively not a natural pearl. The item sure looks like it has a cultured freshwater pearl, again: set in a 1970's style, low-grade silver ring. For 15 Euros it is a fair price and surely not worth more.

    I think it's around 150-200 years old

Yes, if you truly believe the pearl necklace is an authentic natural Persian Gulf pearl: You MUST have the pearls analyzed and a certificate provided.

    Pearl Type & Shape

Hi there JSP! This does indeed look like a mixed strand of "Black Akoya" and freshwater pearls. Very nice looking! The white freshwater pearls seem to be symmetrical, so they would be called semi-baroques. The central pearl looks somewhat caught in the middle of being a drop and an oval.
