    How did this happen?

Hi Jeremy, When you know the approximate time-frame for posting that article here, can you give us some notice? Just a week or even a few days is all I mean. Some days when I check for new posts, there are quite a few(like today) and sometimes I don't read them all. I don't want to miss it...

Can anyone tell me anything about my pearls?

The age and the craftsmanship add a lot to the value( as you probably know):) . So even if the weight seems light, it is still just a fraction of the value. At a typical jewler, I could see that going for much higher than you paid. And for pearl lovers, unique items like that are invaluable...

Can anyone tell me anything about my pearls?

Hello, One thing you may want toconsider is the weight of the clasp. With gold being $600+ an ounce these days and it being an antique, the clasp alone could be worth the price you paid. It looks like gold work on top of soomehing. Amber, maybe? Just looked up todays prices and gold is a...

I noticed the article is a decade old. Any improvements, or is it like many other environmental problems and nothing is being done?

    Baroque Freshwater

Alain, I know exactly how you feel. My husband is Japanese and it can be hard for me to tell. Sometimes it seems like slight variations of a perfectly straight face. But I am getting better at it. :D The pearls look lovely on her and seem to pick out more gold tones in her skin. Lovely...

I am a pearl wholesaler. I would like to sell to Americans

Well, I was going to say $1250, but I thought that was too high. And I still would have been low. Sheesh...for such a price you would think they would at least use real pearls!! Actually, maybe you just came up with a new market, pearl-trimmed bridal shoes. Even the grooms shoes could be...

    Baroque Freshwater

I know I might have bought more if I had seen that lovely coppery color. Even though they were listed as pink, many of the pictures came across very orangey to me. So while I knew they must be lovely, it did help my restraint. :)

Guess a price tag? Yikes! Are the pearls CFWP? Let's see, pearls, cloisonne, name-brand...I put my guess at $850.

I am a pearl wholesaler. I would like to sell to Americans

Wow, that shoe is different. Certainly isn't my taste. The pearls aren't so bad, but those shells (IMHO) just seem kind of tacky to me. But then, I am not into flashy colors at all. I am a much more subtle kind of girl.

I am a pearl wholesaler. I would like to sell to Americans

I thought so, I am pretty good at spotting pigs! it is kinda weird, I never thought pigs were cute until I came to Japan. Now I love them and see them everywhere(esp as kids toys). I had never seen anything like these figurines before. How common are they?

I am a pearl wholesaler. I would like to sell to Americans

Hi, Very cute figurines. Mandy, I was wondering in the thrid picture above the eagle picture, is that a pig on the shelf? I know it is the Year of the Boar, and it looked like a pig nose showing. Just curious because I like pigs. :D

    Guess?

Lol, Casey, it is too funny. We do have similar tastes. I almost bought the strand you did. ;) I called my husband at work and had him look at both, and at a pink strand. Then he chose. But once the pink was eliminated, it was just those two. We liked how the colors were more subtle, kind...
