    More Mysterious Mollusk Material?

This is a 17" graduated strand I'm told was purchased in the mid 1980s. I believe the pearls range from maybe 3.5mm to 6mm. Note the little marking on the clasp which I'd guess is another depiction of an open oyster. Looks kind of like an L. Any opinions on these?

CharmedOne, I see that on yours, too! What a lovely collection you have! Sorry, but I didn't find a thread about the oyster/pac-man marking. I came here trying to find information on it. I see that your strand looks to have the same clasp as mine, but yours are graduated. How long have...

    What is fair feedback?

I have had to ask for the delivery confirmation form at my post office. For some reason it's not out there with the others. I've started collecting a few extras so I can go ahead and fill them out without having to get the form at the post office and fill it out there. I think last time I did...

Let's see if this works. On the hook, up close to the ring. You can't read the 14K very well in this, but maybe you can see the oyster thing. Oh, I know this isn't the Yamamoto/Mikimoto collaboration because my pearls are older than that. Just curious because searching for Yamamoto pearls...

And here's another completed ebay auction of "Pearl Yamamoto Mikimoto" pearls, but I don't see either the Mikimoto mark or the mark like I have on this one...

Thank you all for the compliments! Yes, this is probably my favorite. I actually hadn't seen the little Pac-man/oyster marking until reading this forum because I usually don't undo the clasp, just slip them on over my head. (Maybe that's a bad idea?) I have taken some more pictures and have...

    Yamamoto saltwater pearls

Thank you for the links to the article and the ebay sale. I too am surprised that it went for that price. Someone got a prize! Guess that's what keeps people trying! Caitlin, I'll be glad to try to post pictures, although I must point out that mine is not the Yamamoto/Mikimoto collaboration...

    Yamamoto saltwater pearls

Many thanks for all the information here in this forum! I've been reading for a while and finally registered. Although I've learned a lot, the main thing I've realized is how much more I have to learn. To that end, I have searched for information on Yamamoto cultured pearls. I have an...
