Share your Pearl Paradise Private Launch Purchases!

Maybe I missed the email you are referring to, but even if I didn't miss it, I did not get the link until 4:27 pm et. So I'm still missing the chance to purchase. Today there was a Tahitian necklace with rare colors; 3 pairs of metallic earrings (freshwater) in rare colors, a metallic FW...

Well the previous VIP page said today's sale would be at 7 pm eastern. This quote is from the VIP Lot 5319: "I'm going to be adding special pearls here every week, and they are all one of a kind and every piece is shot with an iPhone - with NO Photoshop! Tuesday, May 7th at 4 PM EST - 1 PM...

Should I buy these Mikimoto earrings?

I am not familiar with the Mikimoto pearls for Korean Air. But I have purchased Mikimoto AAA stud earrings from a licensed retailer, and the price was just over $1200. So I doubt they would be anywhere close in quality. That said if you like the quality of the pearls you are considering, then...

I would love to see the prices too. I got to the page too late, when everything was sold, so I couldn't see any prices.

I did not even see a Vietnamese akoya necklace! They must have taken it down, I guess.

Hi Katbran, the fireballs were going for in the $300's. They did go quickly. I did not try to purchase one because they are just not my taste. I did get the pair of studs, purple freshwaters. Not sure if I can post the picture here (I have not received them yet, hence no pictures taken by...

Good day friends ! 👋🏻 Here to show my chunky necklaces

Kasumi pearls came from the Kasumi Lake in Japan - but I believe because of pollution the lake no longer produces pearls. Kasumi-LIKE pearls come from China - they have a similar rippled surface like the original Japanese ones. The Kojima Pearl web site describes these pearls and says there...

? Tahitian pearls from China - what do we know?

So I found an online listing for a fantastic looking Tahitian pearl necklace and the description stated: "Origin: Black Tahitian Pearl Processed Jewelry in China" I have always avoided buying non-freshwater pearls from China, because it didn't make sense to me that pearls produced elsewhere...

    Identification Help

In the black strand I see some other colors like blue and purple - are the pre-necklace pearls dyed in separate batches (blue, black, purple) then combined into the necklace? or am I missing something else?

    Your opinion please!

I see your point "there is always more then one tone" - uniformity of color over a whole pearl (may) indicate it is dyed - but how far does that rule go - say, only to akoyas and tahitians, or perhaps all pearls?

    Your opinion please!

Hello, I am still busy shopping for Akoya blue pearls. I recently bought two necklaces from Pearl Paradise and I'm absolutely in love with them; not just the color but the metallic super-shine also. Found these online from a seller I don't know anything about - I am considering purchasing...

Is there a prevalence of dyed Tahitians pearls?

Wow, that listing is so badly described. From title: "High Luster A 6.5-7mm White Nugget freshwater akoya pearl, nugget shape pearl, big tail akoya pearl, cultured pearl beads" From description: "Material: Freshwater Akoya Pearl, it's high luster and cheap"

This is probably not Mikimoto, but...

I've been trying to educate my eye and judgment in identifying types of pearls from photos. I think this is an easy one, but what do I know? Would appreciate very much your comments: Found this bracelet on ebay listed as "Mikimoto 8mm LARGE Pearl Bracelet 8" Long Sterling Clasp 16.8g Top...
