Got it and guess what? I just realized we live in the same state. I wonder how close we are.....pearl stringing lessons *might* be a real possibility! LOL!

    My new pearls

and grow it shall-can't wait to see what is soon to be on it's way! These are my newest from Catherine. They're fantastic. 27 inches of AAA metallic keshi rosebud goodness in light pinks, peaches, lilacs and whites. After this next strand gets here I think I'm cut off for the rest of the...

    My new pearls

Thank you all so much. I hadn't realized that they are indeed three different shapes as well as colors. I'm loving them all. I'll include here too a 36 inch strand of akoyas that were at one time incredible. I've sort of worn them within an inch of their lives....I'm sporting them today as a...

    My new pearls

And then I'll dig out my old. They've been put away since our last move-I kept two strands out and have been LAZY about unpacking. Anyway....this past month I've acquired a few nice things: a freshadama set from PP. I asked for silver/rose and LOVE what I got. They are silver in overcast...

That sale is KILLING ME! You are so lucky!!!! I can't wait to see them. My first baroques were Tahitians from PP. I just got them last week and I'm in awe of them. I can't wait to see your strand-mine is a measly 18 inches! Yours is going to be a knockout!

    Baroque Tahitians from PP!

They don't bother me at all-but I was worried (as was stated in the thread that was linked-thank you!) that if it was a lack of nacre they'd be more prone to damage (peeling, chipping etc.) As far as looks go, they're hard to see. I just wanted to be sure that my purty pearls aren't at risk...

    Baroque Tahitians from PP!

thank you! I'll go read that now! Pattye-no, they're not at the stringing hole, they're more inside the rings and they feel rough. It really just looks like a lack of nacre altogether. I'll try to get a shot, but it's not easy!

    Baroque Tahitians from PP!

Okay-here are the existing photos that don't in any way show the spots I'm talking about-just the beauty! In some shots they're with my freshadamas :) To answer Pearl Dreams-no way can you see the irregularities-especially the white spots from 3 feet away. I'm not so worried about the...

    Baroque Tahitians from PP!

Thank you all! I posted photos elsewhere on the site, but didn't make any attempt to capture the "white" spots. With baroque pearls I have no problems at all with the irregularities and blemishes. I actually do love them. But I wasn't expecting to see areas with what appeared to be no nacre...
