Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Each time I see another wire-wrapped pearl "chain", it makes me more curious to give it a whirl. But not just yet. ;) Your new strand is beautiful, ParrotLady. Kanaloa is so regal, 86C! I love seeing him come out to play. Wowzers!

    Pearl Confessions...

Thank you, Patteye, for all the generous information about knotting, threads and pearls. :D Plus, I love to hear what others have used for thread colours. It's fascinating how just something so simple as a different thread colour can make a difference to the eye. Thank you 86C and jeg. Amongst...

    Pearl Confessions...

Here is where the Robert Wan strand typically lives—on my (home office) desk where I can gaze at it through the day... My desk is often strewn with pearls.

There are some studs, too, however, those will have to wait, as the post editing function seems to be "sticking". I think it's a si-i-i-ign that I should get back to the physical world and errands.:eek:

Some blue strands, one of which was another impulse purchase (from, you guessed it, Cees!). All are blue Akoyas, some from Japan, some from Vietnam. Top strand (another rogue/impulse purchase, LOL!) is from Cees earlier this year; 10–10.5mm, Vietnamese Akoyas strung on Turquoise. Second strand...

Some earlier purchases from this winter (yes, it has been a very busy year with pearls!). A strand of greeny-gold 10–12mm SS pearls from KongsPearl. I used Beaders Secret Cork. this strand is chameleon and really changes colour, depending on the light and the colour of I wear it with: A...

    Pearl Confessions...

I confess that for quite some times now (many months), I have been meaning to post some photos. Some of the strands/pearls I've had for years, some are new to me, and some are new from various vendors/sources. This may take longer than expected, as the photos seem to be uploading in...

    Guo Pei's pearl bridal gown

One would need to do a lot of strength training before wearing such a confection... That must be incredibly heavy! I don't think I even notice the bride's face, just the dress. ;)

These last four days' photos are terrific, Waps! I really love today's ring. It looks like a calla lily with a pearl nestled in. And the peacock Tahitians are stunning!

    My pearls

The site froze two different times when I was replying to this thread. Maybe it's a si-i-ign! Haha! Charlotta, I love this newest version of the wave strand. It's just so pretty! And of course the ombre. I am compelled to say how much I love it each time I see it. Interestingly, a...

    My tahitian pearls

Gorgeous! Which way do you tend to wear it when it's one long strand? I suppose you can just move it around your neck and change the position of the colours as it suits you in the moment.
