Here is another shot showing a couple more pearls with dimples: There is a dent on the pearl just left of the clasp at 11 o'clock and 2 on the pearl 2nd rom the clasp on the right 1 just above center and 1 at 9 o'clock. I finally figured how t post larger pictures. and another showing more pearls:

I enlarged one pic and the middle pearl exhibits the dimple to which I referred.

I am looking at a necklace that looks to me like SSP/Tahitian (dark coloring) but the pictures I am seeing are distorted. My question for starters is if the "dimples" I see on most SSP strands to one degree or another are also a factor on FWP's. The surface looks to me exactly like the SSP...

This may be a question for another subject but if I re-string knotting every pearl how much length will I gain say every 50 pearls @7.2mm ea? If I can project that gain I can cull the worst ones including non-damaged but lesser quality pearls

They certainly have lived a life. If re-strung the damaged ones could certainly be deleted. There aren't many so the overall presentation is still quite nice. May be a good project for the shut in to come.

This just arrived also weeks late (not their fault). I think I know what they are but the bead nucleated Chinese have me confused. They are 7-7.5mm. Boy did the bath take a while!

+1 I was thinking cage for the silver and hanger up top but that application is brilliant! Who did the actual production of the piece? Do they sell the findings themselves? I have found a dearth of options either premade or for components!

I was wondering after looking at threads showing new strands (and comparing with the single) whether the luster on these may have "mellowed" with age/use or is it still decent?

I have to assume that if the receipt that came with it represents this strand they are natural color. The photos don't really convey the variations accurately. I will try to get an outdoor shot in natural light when the sun comes back out.
