Sometimes freshly drilled pearls will still have a plug of pearl dust in the middle, so helpful to have this tool to clear it. I've noticed some drop shape Tahitians will have loose "keshi type" matter near the top clogging the hole, so cutting broach to the rescue!

The dark purple looks more like the shade we see in some of the freshwater pearls currently. It could be a natural color. I see many Tahitians in person, but have never seen one that looks similar to this pearl. The bail is interesting; do you know if it is karat gold?

The first two photos show a broken strand, unfortunately. Of course, an option would be to just repair that one.

These would be akoya because of roundness, but not top quality, judging by the hazy reflections.

Clearly the pearls need to be cleaned and completely restrung. Quality of the diamonds is unknown. Pearl quality difficult to tell. It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay.

MintyFresh, I second making the Morse code necklace in emeralds and pearls! Ennui, I've done custom "dearest" necklaces a couple of times, a fun piece and would work for a bracelet, too!

To me, mixing pearls with colored stones allows so much creativity! Nobody will have a gorgeous necklace just like yours, MintyFresh! Imo, all colored gems can pair well with pearls! My favorite gems are: sapphires (my birthstone), all colors, especially padparadscha, Oregon sunstone, jade...
