They appear to be naturally colored cultured freshwater pearls from China.

The necklace actually looks like south sea pearls to me. It has a hidden clasp-- not something you would typically see with FWP but rather with the much costlier SSP. The studs could also be SSP, based on size and color tone. It's a very nice set.

I'd say yes.

These ringed tissue nuceated FW are very common and have been around for several decades. The rings are often quite deep. The bead nucleated ones are generaly not ringed. The older bead nuked ones may have a ripply texture.

Good catch! I just checked the clasp on one of my Honora strands and the same H is there.

If all round, they are akoyas.

And any clasp can be strung onto any strand of pearls. The clasp may not even be original to the necklace. So we'd really need to see more pearls to judge them. It's easiest to evaluate pearls against a white background. Dark backgrounds are less helpful.

Two of those pearls don't look fully round. Based on shape and that photo alone, I'd say they are freshwaters. However, that off-roundness could just be a camera effect. Please post a photo showing all the pearls. I don't recognize the shield shaped mark.

I'm leaning toward freshwaters. The sizes and shapes, the color too...not so much golden as peachy yellow? At least that's what I see. More photos would help.

You are correct! They are freshwater pearls from China-- their eggy shapes give them away. Unfortunately I think you will find there is not a lot of demand for used, off-round freshwater pearls. There are so many of them out there. I recommend you do a search on eBay for SOLD pearls like...
