    Souffle South Sea pearls

I’m gonna need to get me a pair of these!!! That size without the weight would be amazing!

Wore my mismatched monster studs today (16mm+ T and WSS). They need to be worn with a heavy earring back… and annoyingly I didn’t have one to hand so I used a standard WG La Pousette, one of which was lost after one of the babies bashed into my ear. I’ve learned my lesson! Can’t remember if I...

Forever loving the juxtaposition of feminine pearls with rock t-shirts. Featuring tiny ~7mm drop T’s and a T “bubble” bracelet that was assembled from leftover pearls when shortened three T strands (I prefer 16-17 inch lengths rather than 18 inches).

Happy New Year! Here is the pink FW pearl and pink lab sapphire duo which came out on NYE (and we left the party at 8pm with the toddler haha!). I like the combination of green (jadeite) and pink. Close up photos in daylight too. It’s a fun ring!

This is excellent advice, thanks @jeg ! I’m thinking of restringing some of my strands with gemstones, à la @BWeaves style…!

If you could only have five pieces, what would they be and why?

Thanks for your thoughts. Do you feel like you have too many pearls pieces? Have you tried to rehome any?

Hello! It’s a pink FW and not a common size but I think you should be able to find one if you do a search and/or wait long enough. I happened to see this pearl when I was walking around a pearl market in Beijing :) I bought it wanting to create a pair of huge mismatched ear studs with a blue...

Japan Pearl Tour and the 7th Japan Pearl Fair hosted by the Japan Pearl Exporters Association

Thanks for taking us along @jeg ! 1. I own one 45cm strand of 7mm drop shape natural white akoya, one bracelet of 9mm baroque blue akoya, and one pair of studs (around 7-8mm if memory serves me right, these are pinked). 2. Akoya are the gold standard in lustre! And I love the whiteness of...

@Amoreperla @Shani @PearlyLibrarian @Mary-Contrary thanks for your kind words! I bought the pink FW pearl loose with the idea of creating a mismatched pair of studs with a blue SSP… but I couldn’t find a blue SSP big enough. So I went in another direction and tried it in an open cuff ring with...

Hello! I agree this isn’t representative of CMW’s usual good quality, which is why I learned from this to ask about the ugliest pearl(s). It was sold as AAA-AA top lustre.

Tanzanite and Tahitians are a combination I didn’t know I needed, these look fantastic!! 😍 I came here to post about a pearl and gemstone combination that I recently had made: 17mm pink FW, lab pink sapphire and set in 925 sterling silver. It’s a fun ring!

Good advice, always ask for more photos and videos! I actually found the low quality “top lustre” pearl from CMW that somehow snuck into my bracelet strand…

Hahaha I am quite an obsessive person too! And you put it better than I did, pearls add volume indeed, as well as providing visual interest compared to diamonds and gems that usually sparkle. The good thing about VCA is that it holds it value well and sells quickly on the secondary market if...

Gasp!!!!!!! What extraordinary design!!! I hope you don’t mind, I will unashamedly be stealing this pearl x tumbled gemstone idea. Love love love love love! It reminds me of imperial court necklaces (chaozhu) in ancient China that come in variety of materials including pearls.

Just wanted to chime in on 7-9mm Tahitians - they’re small for T’s but I really like the ~9mm size on me! So it really depends your preference and what you think looks good on you. I’m 5ft4 and US size 4ish (I think - never bought clothes in the US before haha), and this is a great everyday size...
