Only Chinese companies sell them and I would not trust that what they are saying the product is to what the product actually is.
There has been a big thing in the UK over several months that the oysters labelled that they are preserved in alcohol when in fact it's a high quantity of Formaldehyde
I would say if you really want a pearl ring, maybe go for a band with embedded tiny freshwater pearls. You would still have your pearl ring but probably wouldn't take a beating as much as one main pearl on a band would.
The size of the pearls are 12.5mm and around that mark so I would say a low grade south sea or a large circle freshwater. Its hard to tell without asking the supplier more questions and seeing them in natural light.
I am actually shocked how the party hosts are still being relaxed about this even after the report has been published!.
If it was me, I would not even risk my health opening another oyster!

I received the email and opened it before I knew about it all.
I have done a quick scan and nothing appeared so might do a complete scan and see if it comes up with anything.
