No really, if you ask Cees, they were not priced outrageously. If I remember correctly, the pair of pearls were under 800 USD at close to 15.something mm for the pair (two pearls) and for that lustre, well, I am very pleased. and the setting was very reasonable because it was done in Bangkok...

I am a bit confused because because the main description states black Edison pearl but the colours stated within the details of the pearl are green aubergine and peacock. No mention of treatment.

Of course all pearls change in lustre over time. It is the shocking speed with which some FWPs can turn that makes them perhaps not so attractive now. I must say, though, that what ericw stated about purple, pink and red colours fading faster in another thread seems valid.
