Impulsivity is good especially at the holidays for men. They don't want to shop in a store, they don't want to shop online, they don't want to shop! By and large, they pick a block of time that's allotted for their purchases. They run through the mall, pick up things knowing that can be EASILY returned for other merchandise or cash on the same day, no mailing back, no waiting, no fuss, no muss.

Boy do you have that one right!! For about 30 years now, I have been watching men's tendency to plan ahead for gift giving occasions slowly shrink. For the last 6 or maybe more years it has shrunk down to what I think is it's tightest reasonable margin. Xmas makes my employer a nervous wreck:( these last years because it's gotten to the point that I have to keep reassuring him that Xmas doesn't start now till the 18th--one week before Xmas!! That's when the men finally file in, a haunted and desperate look in their eyes, thrusting cash and credit cards at us and begging for us to save their relationship with their S.O. for one more year!! Oh me, oh my--'tis a sad thing to observe. . . and like any good B&M jewelry store, we do for them what we can. . .
