Very neat! I like it too. I wonder how the chain keeps the pearls in place?

    Peanut Pearls!

I'm not a big fan of these either. The pearls do remind me of snowmen. I think peanuts as a name works well too.

B&M v Online Pearls - No comparison to me

I went into a local B&M store yesterday after posting. I thought I would browse and see what they have. I actually found myself adoring a 60" 6mm pink FW pearl strand. I bought it because it was so shiny. The pearls were more oval than round, but had a nice luster. When I came home, I...

B&M v Online Pearls - No comparison to me

For me, the B&M stores just don't have enough Pearl expertise or quality of pearls. I brought a AAA Freshwater pearl strand in to a B&M store and compared it to their high end Akoyas. I thought my FW was still nicer. :-) and costed much less. Jeremy, When you say by memo, is it like they...

    Favorite Pearl Single Strand Clasp?

Hi Sueki, I got my basket clasps from TPO, it was customized with my pearl strand purchases. I don't see the clasp as an option on the website anymore. Not sure if they are out of stock? I really like Cliclasp - and as soon as I get a large worthy strand, I'm going for it. The other...

    Favorite Pearl Single Strand Clasp?

Photos of bow and basket clasp Photos of bow and basket clasp I have the bow clasp - which is shown in the first photo. The catch works just like the ball clasp, but with a bow instead of a ball. I do find it slightly easier to use than the ball clasp because there is a little longer area...

    Favorite Pearl Single Strand Clasp?

My current favorite is also not on the list, a basket clasp. It allows you to adjust the length as you like and lets the remaining pearls cascade down, can look like a lariat if worn in the front or a classic strand if the pearls cascade down the back.

    amazing "Oceania" necklace

What a great necklace! I also really like the Chiffon Garden on page 25 and how it incorporates the akoyas.

What do you reach for most?

I like your idea of saying you're studying pearls - that is a good way to get an appointment. I live in the Silicon Valley - Ca - the land of many multi-millionaires. Too bad I'm not one. But it is very hard around here to assess the Have moneys and the have nots. Quite many many engineers...

Can this necklace be made by beginner?

Thank you so much! I love all the feedback. I'm going to try to get out of work early and drop by the bead store. Bead stores around me closes by 5 or 6pm - don't know why that is. They could get much more business if they just open a little longer. I now see that the large pearl is not a...

Can this necklace be made by beginner?

Hi all, I saw this necklace on bidz.com and the auction was over before I could bid on it. It sold for $205. I really like it, and was wondering if you guys thought this design could be remade by a beginner (me)? I know how to knit and crochet, but have yet to learn enough about beading...
