    I like to say that SSPs glow, not shine. They have a warm inner glow that is really luxurious and beautiful. Obviously I'm smitten with SSPs!

    Pearlharbourer, it all comes down to trust, doesn't it? :) If the waters have been tested and it was okay, then you'd feel safe to shop whichever way you choose. I'd have to say though, it can be hard to shop for pearls without seeing them in person simply because they can look so different...

    Is the blue colour and the mix of colours caused by the unevenness of the nacre (thick and thin in different places)? or is it just simply the colour? If it's the colour, that is insanely beautiful!

    I really can't stop playing with and starting at this ring! The champagne pearl has a pinkish overtone... love it with the pink sapphires!

    Go to a local jeweller that specialises in south sea pearls. Rutherford stocks Kailis pearls, but I'm sure they can find you loose pearls as well. Sometimes I think it makes sense to buy 3 pearls in one go instead of 2! If you turn two into a pair of earrings, at least you still have a spare and...
