Thanks for your advices, the rubbing and the tooth test indicates, that they are not an immitation, as there is a clear resistance to feel. I still like them, but not for myself to wear it. Not sure, if I going to keep it.

Hi there, very interesting to read this thread, Caitlin thank you a lot for sharing your deep knowledge. These Biwa pearls I bought on eBay from the USA, probably someone will recognise it. The seller says they have been purchased in Japan, wich sounds authentic considering the 14K Gold clasp...

Especialy the second necklace I thing could be identified based also on it's clasp. It is very specific. The style seem to be much junger then the one with the ruby from the previous necklase. Also the pearls dont have that distinct growings markes comparing to the first necklace.

What ever they are I love them and wondering, if the certification would be worth. Is there a subject matter expert in Munich/Germany?
