    Found more genuine pearl jewelry at the thrift store today! I will say, I think the workers have gotten wise to pearls recently however; they had three multi-strand Keshi pearl necklaces for $400 each! There goes my thrifty pearl prices… This one was still only $7 though!

    Newly thrifted ring

    I love that the cut part of the pearl is visible underneath!! Shows that it’s pink all the way through. Surface of the pearl is a kind of “matte” texture. Ring is stamped 925.

    Abalone “pearls”

    Could these be abalone pearls? I use this shell as a catch all for my random crystals and have about 30 or more shells in my backyard and around my house. Now that I’m learning a LOT more about pearls, I’m curious if these could be abalone “mabe” pearls.

    Earrings found at thrift store

    Second pair of genuine pearl earrings I've ever found at a thrift store! I know they are real pearls (tooth test) but I don't know how else to classify them. Please help!

    Do these appear to be genuine Tahitian?

    I purchased via eBay and during their authentication process they noted a difference in the description of the color of the clasp, but nothing about the origin/type of pearl. Before I confirm I wanted to get some advice from all you pearl lovers! Authentication is through GIA.
