    South sea, Keshi?

I feel like I remember being able to identify Keshi pearls with some flatness but also do recall hearing something about South Sea keshi pearls not having the flatness at all. Does flatness automatically make it non saltwater when dealing with Keshi pearls??? ID opinions?

Is this worth sending to a lab?

I’ve been holding on to this ring for awhile and would like to sell it. From my observations it looks to be a natural saltwater pearl with unknown origin. My question is would it be worth it to get it checked out in a lab, would that significantly add to the value? Photos taken with magnification.
