Yes, not an expert like Jeremy, but I don't see a swirl in pictures of conch pearls. I have often found vague swirls in beach shell bits, where the wave action on sand wears a shell down to the thickest part, the center starting point of a spiral shell.

For what it's worth, some quick bench-marking from reliable stores shows that that is a good retail price in the US for an excellent pearl of that type and size. If you get your 20% off, that would be way better than retail. Like @pattye said, the experts here (not me) can't tell the quality...

I've been looking for green, and found these two pistachio Tahitian pendants at OceanRhyme. One is styled like an apple, and the other is on a Y chain. Here they are on my favorite model, showing that they can be worn together. Dex thinks they bring out his eyes.
