I think you’re correct @BWeaves. If I turn my work over, the knots look the same. I think what was throwing me off was using two colors and non round pearls. I did some more and it turned out pretty well. Will order prettier color threads and remake it.

Playing around with what I had at home. The green and purple are griffin size 8 I had. I’m trying to figure out the knot. AI said whipstitch but I tried a square knot. Anyone macrame here? Think it’s macrame or crochet?

It’s fairly easy. First time I tried it, I did my mother in law’s mikimoto strand. No practice beads. I did have to reorder silk threads as the first order I ended up with string that was too thick.

I think it’s a beautiful strand. If you like arts and crafts then def worth restringing yourself. Supplies -string -needle -gimp -glue Pattye can help you get started :) I’ve never used a knotting tool. I do hand knotting. Lots of shorts on YouTube

The website says it looks great even with a bathing suit! But I don’t have the bod for a bikini or strapless dress 😩. The pearls aren’t great quality but they are FW pearls and I got them for $50 on Tjx website. Thought it would be a fun pair of earrings to wear. They are 8” long.

I added the strand to my ponytail with a Bobby pin and twisted the hair up. Saw a video either on fb or YT shorts.

love love love this! I have something similar from Chefanie and am excited to wear them on Mother’s Day. This Tiffany necklace is similar, only difference is the shape of the tag. The closure is in the front so I just attached pearls and added a jump ring at the end. Super easy

Yes. The necklace no longer fit around my fat neck 😂. I extended it with the pearls about 18” to double loop it.

I do like the original style I posted and bweaves long style. I haven’t decided yet what I want to try. Those tiny pearls are more expensive than I thought. They sure do add up quick. 🫣😂
