Your colour preferences for Tahitians and why?

Thanks jeg, your pearl collection is TDF  do you find whether you reach for highly saturated strands (high colour intensity) or less saturated strands?

Your colour preferences for Tahitians and why?

Thanks @KarinK, I think you’ve verbalised what I’m struggling with - I think the intense colours look amazing against a white/grey background, but I’m just not sure how it looks against my skin, especially since T’s look so different in various lighting! I’ve been thinking whether to buy a...

Your colour preferences for Tahitians and why?

Interesting point about the formality of white pearls! I was at a wedding yesterday and saw strands of white pearls on a quarter or a third of female guests, but no Tahitians. It was a pretty informal wedding and I would’ve loved to see some T’s!

Your colour preferences for Tahitians and why?

Hi all, would love to hear your thoughts please! I’m usually a monochrome kinda gal but I’ve been admiring everyone’s colourful pieces, and it’s got me itching for colour. However, I’m stuck because I’m concerned that intense colours don’t look against my skin / are hard to pair with clothing...

Scotland's Bill Abernethy and the Last Pearl Fisherman passed Away

The largest Scottish river pearl found in living history by Bill Abernethy (the Abernethy Pearl or 'Little Willie') is up for auction! Here is the fascinating background on the pearl (and its pearl fisherman): https://www.lyonandturnbull.com/collection_story/the-abernethy-pearl I couldn't find...

Wearing my Collins tiny Ts strand from @pearlescence and a freshwater rice pearl ring. I recently bought a 6ct moissanite tilted pear ring from a second-hand app (Vinted) and it’s so fun and blingy! The freshwater ring is so easy to wear as well: I like it both standalone and also stacked with...

Influencer Marketing's Impact on Consumer Trust and Purchase Behavior in the UK Pearl Jewellery Industry

Hi Nicole, your MBA topic sounds very interesting! Just to let you know, some of your questions were “tick all that apply” but I could only select one answer.

Thank you for sharing the process - I haven’t really encountered any yet, hope to stumble across some beautiful harvest strands in future! I am gobsmacked at how blue some of the SS are as I’ve not seen it in real life before, absolutely gorgeous

Thank you! Thanks! They feel okay for short periods, I haven’t worn them for longer than a couple of hours yet :) Really loving your keshi/harvest strands @jeg ! The soft colours and the organic shapes are beautiful. Are there some Tahitians in here too, or are they dark blue SS?

Wearing my mismatched 16.5mm studs and a strand of 7-7.8mm tiny Tahitians from @pearlescence I’m enjoying the contrast in size between the large studs and the tiny Ts! (Just noticed - please excuse the patch of baby drool on my shoulder… :ROFLMAO:)

Please help me set some mismatched monster studs! 16.5-7mm Tahitian and WSS

I’ve heard lots of people say that darker pearls look smaller, so it’s okay to have a larger Tahitian and a smaller white pearl as a mismatched set. In the name of science (ha!), I wanted to unscientifically test this out because when I hold the pearls on my fingers they look equally large. My...

Please help me set some mismatched monster studs! 16.5-7mm Tahitian and WSS

Thank you! Great idea to bring a little box/pouch :) To be honest, the biggest risk is the baby snatching them off my ears :ROFLMAO: Thanks!

Please help me set some mismatched monster studs! 16.5-7mm Tahitian and WSS

I went to Hongqiao pearl market in Beijing today and one of the vendors (who sold me my very first strand) helped me make the studs. In summary, I decided to go for: 1. Simple studs rather than omega backs, and will be using large anti-droop earring backs (I don’t know the actual terminology...
