Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Had a Christmas party to go to last night so I got out my multi-color necklace (Fiji? Tahitian? Mix with South Sea? The gemologist report is pending) with gold pearl earrings & bracelet and my feather pearl ring. It was so fun to actually wear them, I have been inspired by everyone on here to...

Exactly—sometimes you just need some cheap thrills. I’m booking to go to the Tucson Gem Show and to the Cook Islands in the next few months, so I’m trying to save my Pearl budget for those.

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Ive really been wanting some interesting, different pearl jewelry so I took a $6 thrifted fwp necklace and added some baroque Edison’s from Uodora and a few gold beads and poof! A fun, interesting necklace. I love it! That stringing tutorial has really helped me

    Help me identify these pearls

Honestly, they’re worth the same whether they’re beads or pearls. This is basically “fine costume” at best and worth the melt of the metal. But, it’s fun so wear it without worrying

It is less expensive than plain retail. BUT I buy gold clasps and stuff off goodwill, particularly the faux Pearl strands (which 50% of the time are vintage akoyas and not fake), so I get clasps for $30 all-in. That’s a tremendous savings. If you are not in a rush and cost is your main...

I will! I’m trying to decide how many more pearls vs gold beads. I also have a strand of 8 mm Tahitians, fully round and love them. They’re so wearable! It’s a great size, so if that’s what you’re considering, it is nice.

It’s not crazy high-quality for the saltwater pearls but really interesting ones at affordable prices. Fun individual Edison’s too. I’ll be able to put together a bracelet for $200 of interesting Tahitians, which is a fun project.

Ive bought from Uodora! You get the actual pearls in the picture, one of the few places that is like that, and they drill to your specs. They have 30 day returns, too. I haven’t returned anything, I got exactly what I ordered and have been very pleased. Ive just bought loose pearls to add to...

Happy Belated Thanksgiving! Today it’s my restrung vintage necklace, silver & topaz earrings and a silver & button pearl ring. I had to adjust the picture a bunch because I just can’t get a great picture, but it’s now a fair representation of what it actually looks like.

    CFW or Biwa?

I never cease to be amazed at how totally filthy people get their jewelry!!! I bought a sonic cleaner at one point after I thrifted a bunch of earrings that were mostly grime, absolutely crazy what came off them. I have an akoya strand I almost gave to my kids because I was sure they were shot...

    CFW or Biwa?

It was crazy filthy, I need to wash it an additional time and then restring it. I’ll post it again when I finish, it’s such a cool, unusual necklace

Love the pearls with the t-shirt! I’m over here in an old flannel shirt Thrifted keishi earrings, they’re soooo satiny but the cups have FW etched on them so I’m thinking freshwater, with my necklace from repurposed thrifted pearls and gold. It’s shocking what people donate, my best find is...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Today it’s thrifted Tahitian 10 mm studs and a mystery necklace. The pearls are 6.5 mm to 7.5 mm and look just like tiny Tahitians on a silver chain. Passes the tooth test and no hallmarks. Drill holes look good, the discoloration around the one in the photo is just scratches from the chain...

Fake, Imitation, Laguna, Faux, Majorica, Majorcan, Swarovski Pearl Photos, Stories

These are my best fake pearls, they’re incredible. Each one is different and they have cherry-peacock overtone. 14k clasp & gimp too. Luckily I knew they were fake when I bought them!
