My only suggestion would to be to ask for close ups of the baroque strand to see how noticeable the possible flaws are.. it's hard to tell if I'm seeing flaws or it's the light/ reflections . Obviously the lustre is higher on the left but the right appear to be very pretty. Just get a close up.

I can see that this would be useful for the more expensive pearls that gain value from their origin. I get so tired of every seller saying their White South Sea are Australian... but can't back it up.

Thats probably a .7mm post which is quite common. Larger backs will sometimes have .8 or even .9mm posts for the 10-12+mm pearls. You don't want much of a gap so I'd err on the side of caution and have it drilled at .7 as you can always make it a bit bigger with a bead reamer... very...
