    The start of my collection

Great form and yes, I agree, a different clasp would be good. I don't wear bracelets but always enjoy seeing other people wearing them - have you seen Charlotta's Happy Bracelets in her thread?

    My new auction strand!

A first for me - a successful online auction bid for this strand! And I'm delighted with what arrived in the post today! Sold as "vintage graduated pearls, 9ct box clasp (broken). 4.5 to 8.25mm. Approx 49cm (19") long" I assume they are akoyas but not particularly vintage - your thoughts are...

    My pearls

Like the idea of a day strand but hard for me to visualise. The days here are usually sunny and bright with bold colours of blue. But I could visualise a 'dawn to day' strand with the colours of sunrise and softness of early morning.

    My pearls

Charlotta, I have had to log in specifically to comment on the beauty of your sunset and night strands and how stunning they look together on your arm or around your neck. Jewelry ideas for some akoyas and tahitian

Umm, sorry, hadn't got to thinking that far in the design process! That is the back of an antique brooch, never worn with pearls. I wanted to show you the ring that folds behind so that when you wear it as a brooch, you don't see the ring. In other words, when you use your ex ring as a clasp...

Jewelry ideas for some akoyas and tahitian

This is what I was thinking about - the pendant bit that folds behind the brooch...

Jewelry ideas for some akoyas and tahitian

Great ideas, it would be so versatile made into a sort of brooch with jumps rings that fold behind so that you could use it either as a clasp or as a pendant. That way, you could use it with all your strands, depending on the mood of the day.

My first floating Tahitian pendant, and "how" I made it.

Goodness, how gorgeous on the gold chain
