    Baroque south sea

It's a baroque fireball shaped pearl. It's not rare. I'm not sure it's South Sea pearl. The color looks more like a Chinese freshwater pearl. But I could be wrong. Let's see what other people here think. It's pretty. Enjoy it. But you don't need an appraisal.

Mikimoto fake or weird transitional era clasp?

The claps looks authentic to me, too. The little pearl really sticks up high, so if it broke off or caught in her hair, I could see a local jeweler just smoothing it over with a drop of gold, instead of replacing the missing pearl.

The pearls look nice. A bit bumpy, but you don't see that from a distance. Very nice luster, and that's what counts. I think a restring will also brighten them, because I think the dark knots are reflecting in the surfaces between the pearls.

Are those the same necklaces as in the original photos? The knots sure are grimier in person, which means the pearls may be, too. Give them a good wash and a restring, and then judge them. The surface texture is a bit pitted and bumpy, they look like they have good luster.

Antique Pearl Necklaces with Platinum Diamond Clasps

It's probably that the photos aren't displaying well on my computer screen, but my first thought at glancing at the photos was that these are nice, old, imitation pearls. The lighting may be throwing me off, because the color of these pearls is a very unnatural color on my computer screen. And...

It's coin shaped, and it has a drill hole at the top. My first thought was, "That looks like someone lost the freshwater coin pearl from their bracelet, earring or necklace." I agree that you are not likely to find a pearl just on the beach unless it was lost out of a piece of jewelry. I...
