Can you tell me about my grandmother's pearls?

Hello Preraphaelite: Oh no, worry not, mixing pearl types would be lovely. Go for it! Linda.

Please give me your thoughts on these Tahitians!

I think this is a really nice bracelet, and looks lovely on your skin now ... and will probably look fantastic on more tanned skin too. The pearls have bright shine, interesting shapes, and nice bands of colour. I think this is a bracelet most people would love to have. Enjoy! Linda.

    Lady O!

That necklace looks amazing on her dark skin. Look out; maybe you'll be hiring a bunch of new employees soon and needing to make piles of these necklaces. Congratulations!

    I inherited a pearl necklace.

Haha, we should just throw out a crazy valuation to match the equally vague & strange description. Those pearls are worth 3.5 million US dollars.

IS IT GENUINE TAHITIAN PEARL? ANY THOUGHTS/IDEAS pic included

Ha! Sorry Amanda, but any way, the two Tahitians I bought were about $40 each, and very nice. Now I just have to figure out where to drill them.

IS IT GENUINE TAHITIAN PEARL? ANY THOUGHTS/IDEAS pic included

I recognize the symbol on the picture, this is an eBay seller from Hong Kong (trying to remember his name ... Give me a minute.) I've bought a couple loose pearls from him. They are nice Tahitians. He also has many South Seas whites and goldens. I think he is legit and trustworthy.

    Wish lists

Every time I think I know what I want, I want something else! Maybe I want every type. No good can come of that. I'd love a multicolour Kamoka bracelet. And maybe some metallic freshwater babies.

    Show me your pearl ring-bling!

What a lovely ring Adeline! You have a good eye. The two pearls contrast quite nicely, so if you replace one, there should still be a contrast I think. A SoC plum pearl (purplish?) would be amazing. The grey one here seems to have a hint of nice colours. It almost looks SoC, doesn't it? Enjoy...

    Are they even real?

Yes, wonderful vintage clasps. A very collectable set.

New Member, New Inherited Pear Necklace!

Great thread people. Very interesting. Sorry though, I'm curious; what other things do you collect InheritedPearl? I totally understand if you decline to tell us though. Linda.

    Pleasant surprise

Hello Isabelle: How are you going to drill that pearl? Do you have a local person/jeweller you trust? Or do you have the equipment? Has anyone ever used a high speed handpiece, like in a dental office? But you would have to clamp the pearl somehow .... I can't see it working really. Linda.
