Pomelo: I love green gems and pearls together. I've tried other colors, and jade and emerald and green tourmaline just make pearls glow.

    Pearls in Qatar's museums

WOWZA! I've only seen postage stamp size, black and white photos of the Baroda pearl rug before. WOW, thank you for the great photos. I also have a weakness for tiaras. I'm not sure I could have been removed from that museum. I would have been glued to the spot for hours.

Pomelo: Love them! Your blues glow. And I agree. I love to wear pearls with jeans and T-shirts. Or like today, my SS pearls with burlap.

Golden SS pearls today from PP Live events. I dubbed thee Pomme de la Mer pendant because it looks like an apple with its shape and green and pink overtones. The tin-cup sparkles with its little gold and white keshi dangles. White SS earrings from Mom. I've thought about getting golden SS...

Jeremy, do you know where the big blue akoyas I just bought came from? They look so similar to my Vietnamese akoyas from years ago that bought from you.

    Stringing large pearls with wire?

The larger the pearls, the fewer the pearls and also the fewer the knots. Example. Let's say a 16" strand of 6 mm pearls vs. a 16" strand of 12 mm pearls. I'm totally making up these numbers, but lets say there are 50 pearls in the 6 mm strand and 25 pearls in the 12 mm strand. There are...

    Thrifted these pearls

They look like imitation pearls to me, too. The clasp is the least expensive, generic clasp you can buy.

clever idea for poorly shaped pearls

That's a cool looking pendant. Too bad it's going to get hit with tariffs if you try to buy one.

Pearl tastes CHANGING and EVOLVING? or am I just getting wierder?

Are you me? Hahaha! My pearl tastes changed when I discovered Pearl-Guide about 10 years ago, and saw what Baby Nurse, and Newberry, and BAS, and Red, and JEG, and others were wearing, and how they mixed and matched their pearls. I was one of the first people to go through the Pearls As One...

    Stringing large pearls with wire?

Have you seen how they store pearls in giant plastic bags and buckets all rubbing up against each other? I wouldn't worry about a strung strand having the pearls up against each other. The Japanese string their pearls without knots. They prefer the look of no knots, although there may be a...

There's 2nd Chance Pearls up on the PP Live page, and there's some good ones left. My BBAs (blue baroque akoyas) just arrived. The pair is Erotochromatic!! Is that the right word, Douglas? I keep wanting to call them Erectochromatic, but that sounds too sexy. Look at that hammered...

And now for something completely different. Obviously dyed, top drilled, cheap, bead store, Chinese freshwater pearls. I bought these pearls to use as dangles on the fringes of my handwoven shawls. But I loved the way they squiggled, and nested, and flipped around on their temporary strings...

After last night's PP Live event, I'm in a blue mood. My first strand of blue baroque akoyas from PP. They are 10 mm and have a wonderful soap bubble luster that my camera can't capture. These pearls really glow. They're also the palest of my BBAs. They're knotted on sky blue Serafil from...
