What to use for tiny keshi?

Hi Karin, The #40 Serafil thread from Pattye should work well with these lovely pearls! If a fine beading needle it too large for the drill holes, a home made one from fine copper wire filament should work.

In search of info on pearl necklace plz

Hi Faith, look at the third pearl from the center (on the R side in the photo). It appears to be peeling by the drill hole. This might be artifact on the photo, or it could be a clue.

    Third time is the charm!

Beautiful goldens, Lilpearl. Congratulations on your trip into knotting land. As Pattye stated above, the size/combination of thread to use really depends on the size of the drill holes. Pattye's Serafil thread is so strong I never worry about it breaking with larger pearls or stones. Great job!

Welcome Faith. Pearls certainly do draw our attention. I see a spot on one pearl where the outer layer seems to have peeled away. Do you see this on others as well?

Is this white south sea necklace a good buy?

Welcome Pearl Bunny. I would go with a known vendor who I trust. Check this one out on Pearl Paradise. It has the luster and overtones you liked. The pearls are not as round, but look to have really nice skins. Many of us find baroque shapes to be more pleasing, made by nature...

My first pearl necklaces! Or, Addiction: Launched

Very pretty rope and clasp Pearlie Sue. I would recommend contacting Pattye (PatriciaSaabDesigns.etsy.com) and getting her pearl knotting kit. She sells Serafil thread (since 2013) and it is great for knotting pearls among other tasks!
