I just finished knotting these freshwaters from Kongs Pearl. I hope you can see all the beautiful metallic colors in the strand, the gold doesn’t show up in the photo. I strung them with leftover small metallic lavender pearls to get a little extra length. They’re huge.

When it has happened to me, I’ve used a pearl/bead reamer from the craft store. It has taken a lot of patience, twisting the reamer into the hole, gradually enlarging the hole until the tip of the reamer can reach the knot. The surface of the reamer is so rough that tiny bits of the knot stick...

Both new and old stands are lovely — beautiful luster.
