    Fuji Pearl...I don't know much about them. They were around early with K. Mikimoto. They started using a trademark in 1948, Registered it in 1959. So previous to '59 they had a different clasp. It was renewed in 1979. But it isn't clear when they stopped operating.

    Looking at eBay and $25 NEW strand of 7mm "akoya" with gold filled clasp.... it still seems like they would be round freshwaters. Is there any good tells for picking out if they are round freshwaters? (I am not buying these, just trying to work on my skills)

    Does IWI or IMI on a clasp mean "low grade Mikimoto"?

    Oh, I see how they were made now. I would try a very strong magnet to see if they were gold filled or plated. (Gold isn't magnetic). Are you going to restring them?
