    Tenjo Grade?

Thanks icyjade! that all looks a bit clearer now)) even though in real-life photos of CrazyMissy the difference between ten-nyo and just hanadama are far more subtle than in those japanese photos.. but if you say rakuten is like japanese version of eBay - I'm not surprised)) Apparently, matama...

    Tenjo Grade?

Hell knows to be honest.. here's what I found related to their "aurora" research.. I suppose that graph is how the result looks?.. the more I read the more I get confused about the whole thing o.0

    Tenjo Grade?

As far as I understand, most of the research of Pearl Science Laboratory is based on the achievements of its founder Hiroshi Komatsu. One of his most prominent works was related to the research of how to measure pearls' light reflecting patterns, and predecessor of that work was Teizo Aida in...

    Tenjo Grade?

Pearl Science Laboratory replied :) In short, Tennyo pearls are hanadama pearls with such strong aurora effect that scored 90 out of 100 points in their analysis (carried out with the use of a special device called "Aurora viewer"). Everything that scored below 90 points in that test is just...

I need help buying Tahitian Pearls.

I would also recommend Jac (https://www.etsy.com/shop/thepearlhouse).. he mostly features near round pearls on his etsy, but if you ask him in private messages - I'm sure he will find you the perfect round one.

    Tenjo Grade?

CrazyMissy, oh that a tricky one :) are the top two "Goddess" and the bottom two hanadamas? It's very difficult to tell by the photo because (as far as I understand it :D) that grade refers to the colors that are seen when the light is reflected from the pearls. For me, before I started...

    Seasonal pearl style?

If using Lady_Disdain terminology, we have 360 days of dry sauna here)) and about 5 days a year when it sort of rains or tries to rain. So I assume I have only summer pearl collection)) I used to wear strands only to the office (air-con!) and now only in the evenings, while with casual clothes...

Buying loose pearls for a pearl necklace?!

I think Patricia posted some time ago a project where a client asked to make a necklace out of pearls that were bought as souvenirs during multiple holiday trips... or something like that. So in theory, this approach could work (as long as you accept of course, as BWeaves mentioned, that in will...

Any thoughts on this necklace, are they south sea pearls?

The shape, the luster, the color, the blemishes - to me as well everything looks more freshwater-y rather than south sea..

Color graduated Vietnamese Akoya pearls-a possibility?

Oh thank you JerseyPearl)) mine are japanese though) Cathy's ombre is divine indeed

    Is this worth the price?

I think they are very.. unpretty? lots of blemishes, lack of color and overtones.. the luster is polished, not natural (as it looks at least).. I wouldn't pay 460 usd for it, doesn't seem like a bargain to me at all..

    Need advice on design

I see those with omega-style backing.. like the clips, but with the pierce? Don't know how they are called correctly :) They wouldn't be everyday earrings, but could still be wearable I think.. You might want some some helpful little things with them like the lobe wonder or similar..

    365 Days of Pearls

I like how you pair clothes with your pearl pieces baby nurse! What a lovely delicate iolite stand as well)) BWeaves, I agree that most fw keshis look pretty lifeless to me.. but when it comes to metallic luster - those are like fires! Love bn's keshis))
