Matched FW metallic pairs go into... a necklace! or 3 necklaces))

Thank you) well I am anyway going to use most of these clasps (and never buy them again)) - they are fully functioning and they are karat gold)), even though with hand polishing they might appear not as shiny as after the tumbler, but I hand polished them for a loooooooong time and they look...

    need help with new project

That's another option I haven't thought of) is it one of those zappers that burn the thread to make it melt a little bit?..

Matched FW metallic pairs go into... a necklace! or 3 necklaces))

Sure, those were Items 4888 and 4889. I have 10mm and 12mm clasps from the same line and they are completely find, so I guess it only refers to the smaller sizes in 9mm and less) SunSeeker, thank you!) Karman, I think all etsy stores are quite good.. mistakes happen, but generally they are all...

    need help with new project

I guess it depends what you are threading on) if it's silk - than back threading 3 pearls and finishing under the forth without the knot is usually enough. I've recently started using Beader's Secret thread and started using glue more often, as polyester thread is more slippery and in some cases...

Matched FW metallic pairs go into... a necklace! or 3 necklaces))

trulyviolet, LVLanghanke, MSC, Pearly-Whites, Pareltje, thanks ladies! but for the forum's support I would dare to this project)) baby nurse, Pearly-Whites, thank you)) actually all the three strands are still with me - as I suspected, the price of 200+ euros seem to be out of the market's...

Please help to identify: SSP or freshwater

Well, if it's a "vintage" strand, then another way out would be scarifying one of the pearls to slice it in half. If it's south sea, there would be round nucleus. If it's freshwater - there would be no nucleus. But that's a bit cruel :)

Matched FW metallic pairs go into... a necklace! or 3 necklaces))

That's EXACTLY what we had for breakfast today))))) Ok, I'm still rubbish at neck shots)) the 3 strands together: And I'm definitely better at stationary photos)) pattye, thank YOU so much for the Beader's Secret)) apart from being super easy to string on, the colours compliment the pearls...

Matched FW metallic pairs go into... a necklace! or 3 necklaces))

Ok. I'm officially the slowest bidder in the world :D First I had back problems that distracted me from the pearl matters for a while. And then that blue south sea pearl which I'm kind of trying to turn into a brooch. Well. Enough of excuses! They are all finally strung :) Plain yellow gold...

    Akoyas and Enhancer Pendants

Oh I see now. Lovely pieces) in Asia they often use mini-akoyas or tahitian keshi strands as substitutes to chains. So I don't think there will be any problem with enhancers or pendants on it)

    Ode à ma Mère

Another lovely personal thread on PG. I almost felt like shredding a tear reading your post. Very touching. And lovely pearls.. It's amazing how pearls keep memories and we keep our memories in pearls.. I love this thread. Thank you so much for sharing. PS does the title hint at your mom's...

    Akoyas and Enhancer Pendants

I think I didn't quite get the question) the enhancer will stay on the knot with gravity, but of course can be moved over the pearl manually if, for example, you have 7.5-8.00mm akoyas with clip-on enhancer of 13mm. But I don't think it would be any problem when wearing - as the enhancer bail...

Who is going to the Hong Kong Trade in March 2017?

I'm not going myself (couldn't get off work :( ), but will have an "agent" with my shopping list there)) she will be there just for a few hours though, so I'm not sure what whether it will be enough time to buy anything at all) fingers crossed :D

    Help choosing between Freshadama strands

I also like more with the gold clasp, but I probably wouldn't buy any of the two for myself. Somehow I'm not obsessed with any of the two by these photos.. And neither of them look round even to the eye to me (which is weird because other freshadamas strands posted here appeared somewhat...

    365 Days of Pearls

Well, white gold wires also exist and are widely used in pearl wrapping.. they are much more expensive of course.. maybe there was a misunderstanding between you and Hisano, and only the chain was supposed to be gold?.. I would try cleaning it with potato water, but just to play it safe I would...

    365 Days of Pearls

I was thinking same when looking at the photos.. looks like the wire is silver.. well, if that's really the reason for discolouration, at least it should be easy to clean) was it not advertised as silver though on the listing?..

My first ever attempt at stringing pearls!

Karman, I like your knots! a little bit loose, but really very very good for the first try on silk)) my first knots were a lot worse, I mean A LOT worse)) and yes, knotting is addictive) as well as soldering ;) what technique did they teach in class?)
