Trying to see what this strand might be worth

Yes Gemgeek is right, there's no way they are Tahitian pearls and likely they aren't pearls at all. Have you done a "tooth test" on them? Do they feel gritty or smooth if you run them across your teeth gently?

    Pink?

well it's just not a common color for SSPs, I've only seen it a couple of times before. But in freshwater pearls we see that color all the time, so based on that fact it seems most likely it's a FWP. I asked the farm manager about that pinky/lavender pearl and they said some of the oysters...

    please check this pearl

that large and roundish I doubt it's natural. Looks like a very badly blemished cultured South Sea pearl.

Small pearls in chokers and bracelets

Try Little H - she's the only one I know of working with really tiny pearls: http://www.pearlcollective.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1845 I'm thinking you'll likely need to go custom to get what you want on this one.

    25MM Black Tahitian Pearl.

That was my thought too Blaire. Ignoring the fact that it's 4 generations old, reported as natural and perfectly round, the size alone is a red flag. At 25mm I think you'd be tied for the largest tahitian pearl ever found. Better pics are definitely needed...

    Can someone educate me?

I think you might have some information that is out of date as most Akoya pearls on the market today of Japanese origin. There was a period in the 2000's where China was producing a lot of Akoya pearls but as of 2015 that's not the case -- the vast majority are Japanese. As for natural blue...

Need your expert opinion on these Golden South Sea strand

Hey Mel, Did they actually produce the pearls or are these the color they "can produce"? Wanting to produce dark gold GSSPs and actually proving you can do it are two different things.

    Dripping in Pearls?.. Literally!

I gotta ask who's bright idea was it to leave $150K dress unattended in a hotel room?! I mean you wouldn't just leave $150K in cash sitting on the counter in a hotel room would you?
