I would say they are ruined. It looks like someone beat the bejesus out of them. They obviously got exposed to something they didn't like. Sorry.

I wouldn't use olive oil, after time it becomes tacky. I used olive oil to lightly coat my wood nativity scene and it does eventually yellow a bit and get tacky. Mineral oil food grade might be a better option.

That is smart. Unfortunately I live in a rental unit. Now that mom's jewelry has passed to me, I really should bump up the content insurance...it's just too depressing to wade through all of her things at present.

Haha! I have to agree with you, there have been times where i look "bum-ish" and am wearing over 20k worth of jewelry. Fortunately, people would look at me and think that it's all fake so I be relatively safe. I don't wear such things in risky areas of course.

I have bought a few things from Pearl Source. I was very happy with the purchases, but they weren't top of the line pearls. I feel that if I were going to make the investment, i would reach out to Takahashi Pearl via Instagram OR deal with PP. I don't know if I would trust the higher quality...
