Easily Strack's Pearls- by far the most detailed and comprehensive tome out there. I refer to it all the time.

Isn't that funny? You'd think it would be the other way around since the graduated style is so much closer to that classic vintage look- but the non-graduated strands are harder to put together, so we end up with a somewhat higher price. This still goes true for today's pearls- mostly South Sea...
