My goodness! Indeed so! Btw, this particular multicolour strand from the same shop (approx 16 inch, 12-13mm) is simply astounding but perhaps another time... :D

Can you see the orient in this?

Hi Olmander, yours look simply amazing! I saw this baroque necklace of yours in another thread and wrote to the shop you mentioned to ask for similar baroque pearls. But I can't really see the luster from the pictures and am quite hesitant to buy it outright since it is costly for me to return.

May I get some opinions if there is a difference in between 1 and 2 in terms of their orient and luster? They look almost the same to me and not exciting at all. Sorry, I don't know how to put pictures in the post. This is 1 This is 2

    Bodycolor and Overtone

I'm fair and have yellow undertones in my skin. I do like the rose overtone pearls as they glow when next to my skin. The slightly creamy yellow ones don't. Silver overtones makes the pearls look 'whiter' and might be more suited to match your white dress.

Feedback - are colored strands of pearls practical?

Sorry to hear about your dad. It's great to buy something to remember him by. I think if budget allows for it, get huge lustrous perfect rounds. If not, the baroque you mentioned is an excellent idea. I find these two shapes more versatile than rice as they could be worn for dressy occasions. On...

    Detecting Dyed Pearls

Thanks Amanda! Is it possible for a dyed pearl to fade? A friend of mine told me she bought some grey cfwp earrings and they changed into lavender after a while. How would that happen?

Feedback - are colored strands of pearls practical?

What a great topic! This is what I've always wanted to know! I went to the theatre last week and saw some beautifully dressed ladies wearing enormous sized multicoloured pearls. So they can be worn for dressy evenings, not just casual daily wear. I've got a question related to this. The peach...

Hi Nerida, do you list your fakes on ebay? I am thinking of buying a pair to match my drop shape peacock tahitian necklace. I don't really want to splurge on a real piece - I'm saving up for something else.
