Tbh, each time, I went in loaded up on painkillers leftover from a surgery, so I did not feel a thing. I think if you go to a place overseen by a physician you can get better painkillers from them than just the numbing cream, though. I'm told the lips usually hurt the most, but I got mine done...

As another option, Tahitian pearls are also very nice. I have the earrings below (I'd ask for dark ones with peacock overtones). This might just be me but while I rarely wear my smaller white studs (I have both white freshwaters and white akoyas) these black ones have become my go-to everyday...

Strands are carefully put together with the pearls selected out of many, many pearls according to size, shape and color match. So my feeling is that by buying pearls individually you might just end up with a mess that isn't any cheaper and doesn't go together well, if that's what you meant...

I tend to wear white pearls in the summer and black pearls in the winter. But now that it's being discussed, I can't really say why. I guess I just automatically sort of followed the "shoe rule" with it, if that's even a rule anymore. But I will probably branch out now. :) Now about that aging...

I keep all of my jewelry in a wall-mounted jewelry cabinet. It has a lock and a big mirror, which are nice. And, I can see all of my jewelry at once. Also, it's inside a closet (I keep meaning to get a lock for the closet door as well. It would be nice to have a place to secure all valuables...

Thanks, Fuzzy Socks. I love my AA+ lavenders from PP. As you can see from the close up pic, they are quite round. I had a choice of more pink or more blue lavenders and chose more pink. So to answer your question, I prefer pinky lavender pearls over pink pearls. :)
