    Are these real??

In my very limited experience, based upon the picture, they appear they could be CORO imitation pearls - if my memory serves correctly, they were one of the largest costume jewelry manufacturers from 1900 to 1979 - and had a huge selection of jewelry, including many lines of handmade imitation...

Tips for your online pearl business

Just to directly answer this question in a little bit more detail. There's absolutely nothing negative with other websites posting excerpts from your site (such as what is done in many news and informational articles). However, the amount that can be "copied" needs to be monitored carefully...

The Absolute Basics of SEO - "Secrets Exposed" - Part 2 The Absolute Basics of SEO - "Secrets Exposed" - Part 2 Just so this point isn't mistaken - I am not against anyone going out and picking up a couple of SEO books from your local bookstore (or online - lol). In fact I own several myself...

The Absolute Basics of SEO - "Secrets Exposed" The Absolute Basics of SEO - "Secrets Exposed" I've decided to include the item regarding "SEO Secrets" because, in my experience, most "SEO secrets" are nothing more than various tactics designed to get you to buy a book which is filled within...

Tips for your online pearl business

Jeremy could not have said it better regarding duplicate or similar content - the writing must be unique - simply changing a few words around will most likely still get flagged as duplicated content, and that will hurt your website SERP. As for photos, search engines are moving in that...

    SEO Secrets

The only caution I would advise with this book is that it was published in March 2011. Since that time, Google and the other major search engines have released multiple upgrades to their search algorithms that have had huge game-changing impacts on the internet; most notably Google's Panada...

Freshwater Pearl + Sapphire & Gold Double-Strand Necklace

oh no I didn't start out advanced, I'm just late to the party at PG. I got into pearls about two-years ago after getting scammed at a brick-and-mortar jewelry store...then I spent the next year "learning" exactly how many many companies out there scam people with low-end pearls, as I bounced...

Freshwater Pearl + Sapphire & Gold Double-Strand Necklace

Those who know me cannot believe the combination of techie and 'pearler'...I suppose it is an odd combination...especially given that I'm 6 feet tall and no skinny chicken - my ring finger is a size 13 which made learning to knot a bit of a challenge at first. But I think my hardcore techie...

Freshwater Pearl + Sapphire & Gold Double-Strand Necklace

I do actually - I bought a bunch of loose half-drilled not to long ago...except when they arrived, they had no drill holes at all - so given that there is no one that offers pearl drilling services anywhere near me, I bought a pearl drill and a couple hundred pearl drill bits ranging in size...

Freshwater Pearl + Sapphire & Gold Double-Strand Necklace

Yes I did. It's just a basic dead knot. I also drilled the holes in the pearls myself so allowing me more control of the thickness of the silk used for the knotting. I really did not want the knots to be too noticeable - so there would be more focus on the main elements.

Freshwater Pearl + Sapphire & Gold Double-Strand Necklace

Interesting that you should point that out because the original design had 14kt white gold beads between the sapphires and the pearls - it didn't look very good - gave it an almost "fake" look because it was just too much. But I have developed 4-5 additional patterns of pearls to sapphires - my...

Looks Like a Good Buy - But Is It?

Tahitian pearls - baroque - 9-11mm in size, unstrung and not drilled (which is no problem) - 18" length (if strung temporarily). Asking price is $240 USD...what do you think? I was thinking of buying, but is it a good price?

Freshwater Pearl + Sapphire & Gold Double-Strand Necklace

So, it just occurred to me that I had not yet actually contributed anything to PG in terms of actual pearls. Thus, here is my contribution... The pearls are 6-6.5mm freshwater. The metal spacer beads are 14kt white gold, and the sapphires (13.4ct total weight), are genuine 'A' grade 3-4mm...

Starting a Pearl Business --How much inventory to hold at the beginning

Just to add to what Mr. Shepherd said, there are no quick fixes to SEO and SEM. Until recently, I was the Director of IT Services at multi-million dollar-a-year company with a departmental budget of $750,000, for the last 5 years. For a business just starting out, I would not recommend using...
