Thank you Corvettegirel & BWeaves! The silver leaf thread is a bit on the stiffer side, but still moves enough to work in tassels. It really is incredibly shimmery in real life, I have the silvery sage green too. I suffered through unwinding onto a bobbin though - a BIG tendency to kink and twist.

I don't think I've ever seen such tight wire-wrapping. Absolutely love it! I wish there was a video of the making-of. I want to learn doing this too!

Mabes are so beautifully well suited for rings! Love your idea. My SoC pearls have very different sharpness of lustre, the loose pearls have the most velvety sheen, while the mabe earrings are a bit sharper and the unset mabe is the crispest. To me it is easily "beautiful enough", even though...
