    Christmas gift for wife help!

When I think of a 'classic' white strand, I tend to think 7.5-8mm. It's not too small, and not jumping into one of the larger sizes. If you were wanting to go the top quality freshwater route, there is someone here looking to sell a strand. Check out the "a little help would be very much...

A little help would be very much appreciated.

Sorry to hear that. I'd suggest posting on the pre-loved section of PS with what you would be hoping to get for them. They're beautiful and a classic size, so you never know who might be interested.

I love how the red in your turtleneck picks up the red tones in your Tahitians. It's a good look on you.

    Christmas gift for wife help!

I think it really depends on what you want and what your budget is. The classic pearl is the Akoya, and for good reason. In my opinion, nothing really beats the shine and glow of a high quality Akoya...but they are also priced accordingly. I love mine, and they are what I pull out for fancy...

    Question for the experts

Wait, do you have MORE light mix apart from your necklace? I like them against the aquamarine. The drops are really pretty too.

Golden South Sea Pearls at Pearl Paradise

From the pictures, I thought that it looked like the green overtone of the 22k ones gave a nice contrast to your skin tone (and pop), whereas the 24k ones seemed to have just a smidge of a reddish/bronze overtone to them that made them blend in with the pink in your skin tone a bit more. Yay...

A Year of Pearls in the Life of a Pre-K Teacher:

People are funny. If you wear real jewelry with casual/daytime clothes they assume it is faux, and if you wear (even obvious) faux while dressed up, they assume it's real. Context seems to be the key.

Golden South Sea Pearls at Pearl Paradise

Red, I'm curious which one you decided on. Although the 24kt gold ones are beautiful on you, I think I have a slight preference for the green overtone ones on you. At least in the pictures they look a bit rounder, slightly more lustrous, and seem to work beautifully with your skin tone. But...

Be Careful with Returns to China

Aaarg! That's a bit of an unwanted arrival! Too bad it didn't arrive better late than never to the vendor in China. OTOH, I always thought that they looked beautiful on you so maybe they are meant to be yours.

Golden South Sea Pearls at Pearl Paradise

Wait...I'm confused about the four strands. Wouldn't it just be 3? (1 GSS, 1 mixed WSS/GSS, and 1 additional strand to get pearls to lengthen everything with?). Where is the fourth? I'd also suggest maybe pricing out the total cost to lengthen vs. the cost of another strand, as it might...

Need Help! Buying Gift Need Advice on Size and Color

If it were me I'd like a single bracelet that I could use as an extender for the strand. It just gives way more flexibility (although I agree that a double bracelet is beautiful on the wrist). I would go for the larger earrings though. I bought matching ones for my strand and in hindsight I...

To Pink or Not to Pink?

I must be in the minority. The pinked suits me best. They don't look pink on, but just look better somehow with my skin.

My new pendant project with interchangeable pearl drops and gemstones as bale

DK, If you are not emotionally attached to the Karsten canvas tents, I have a Eureka (which is a synthetic fabric tent) that honestly I can put up by myself in about 5 minutes. All you do is clip the poles together (there are 2 of them which crisscross), push them through the fabric tubes, and...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Pearl Dreams, Dorms are definitely not a safe place for nice jewelry. Despite keeping my nicer pieces locked in a trunk, someone still managed to steal a bracelet of my mothers with great sentimental value - a regret I have to this day. Maybe it should stay at home until she's at a point...

    Fiji J Hunter pearls Savusavu

It probably all depends on your business model, as in, are you selling a rare, small volume, boutique item in which you would need to command a higher profit margin per pearl as you will be likely to sell fewer of them, versus, are you able to sell in quantity at a lower profit margin per pearl...

I have always loved that strand Frost Me. I think it is perfection on you, especially with that white top. They are just so luminous and classic, and the size is phenomenal. It was a fantastic catch! I love how the clasp turned out too.
