That G+WSS strand is knowck-it-out-of-the-park wonderful! Love the pendant with weensy pearl strand, too!

Yikes! I hope your son's arm heals quickly and perfectly. I broke my wrist when I was 16-ish, and it healed really quickly, thanks to sheer youth, I suspect. ;) I've been going through this thread again and just LOVING all the photos!

Hahahaaa! That's exactly what I thought when I saw them ("truck junk"), and "mammo pearls" sounds much more civilized. ;)

Thanks for the additional info, JP. Aren't pearls marvellous to be able to withstand the chemicals intact?!

    Champagne and Blueberries

Gorgeous! My dream strand would be the size of the champagne strand in the colour of the blue strand. Mmmm!

Typically, how long do you leave the pearl in the acetone, Charlotta? It just seems so wrong to pearls in acetone, LOL! But I will get over it...

Thank you, Jersey Pearl. Interesting that double “wrapping” using metal slows evaporation.

    My pearls

I LOVE your “spamming”! All that pearl glory, first thing in the morning. Happy, happy sigh! Your Rickatea strand is still my fave, but the ombre strand is in second place only by a pearl. ;) Love, love, love the last photo with all the studs. What a wonderful collection you have...

That. blue. Akoya. strand. (As well as a heart emoji, a drooling one would apply) Love the little h earrings, and adore the blue strand! ETA: It’s great to “see” you back with your lovely pearls, and the furry-ones stories. ;)

JP, what do you mean by double-sealing in a metal container? What do you use?

I just ordered some Attack—thanks so much, PD! And thanks for the tips on storing it. We have Teflon tape in the household, and I’ll look for Parafilm as well. I could also use these products to thoroughly seal some acetone that typically escapes. :)

Thanks, Pattye. I know you've posted this in another thread somewhere (because I read that thread with beady-eyed interest), and I'm wondering how long you let the pearl "cook" in the microwave each time? I don't recall that part at the moment, nor which thread it was in. I confess that...

Ooooh! Three or four days?! Like repeatedly in the microwave over the course of those days? No wonder I couldn't budge the earring back in one I tried to get loose. I put it in boiling water for just a few short minutes. It kind of freaked me out, so I stopped the process, LOL! Perhaps...
