    Cook Islands Pearling Developments

Wow - what a lot of interesting comments! I have a couple observations to share: 1) Everybody looks for something to distinguish what they have to sell. For example, Care (druzydesigns on Ebay) often references Josh in her Ebay posts for the Tahitian she obtains from him (c.f., These Rare All...

    Available at auction

I was reading my daily Wall Street Journal and saw an advertisement for an estate sale auction at Doyle New York (www.doyleny.com). There were some fun pearl entries in there that I thought you might like to see (and if you buy something, tell us about it!). I tried to hyperlink to each page in...

A promotion video shot at my place

What a great article. I agree - you sound very calm there, Josh! Growing upon the east coast of Florida, we had a lot of sharks but I was never so calm about them. Feet dangling from the surfboard always seemed so vulnerable to me (I would never know what exactly brushed against my foot!).

    Exotics

Lovely, lovely strands. I'm glad you were able to get in on the exotic bandwagon the second time around. John

    Manly pearls

I have several of the chokers. The first one I bought from Pearl Paradise (a Tahitian) had two knots that slid across the leather cord, making the necklace adjustable. It was very easy to use, but I didn't like it after about 6 months - the leather started looking very worn from the sliding of...

    One more exotic

Hi Inge, Your pearl collection is very lovely. Those "big greys" look great on you and do not look too formal at all. They have a lot of character, actually. You must enjoy deciding what you will wear each day. Thank you for sharing. John

A promotion video shot at my place

As the others, I really enjoyed the video. I was thinking, as people were swimming in that relaxing water, what concern is there regarding sharks - and then I saw one swimming around! Any worries about the shark finding one of those bare limbs appetizing? John

    Pearl Colors

    Tahitian Keishi Choker

After pretty much exhausting the pearl-pendant choker for men, I was wondering what I could get next... Sarah at Kojima Pearls had a great idea. She made up this Tahitian keishi necklace that is just the right size for me. I'm really thrilled with it. I wish, though, that my photography could...

Tahitian Pearl Farming: A day in the life...

Fantastic view of a "day in the life" of your pearl farm, Josh. I'm so glad you could take advantage of the depressed dollar to get a great lens for your camera so we could see your pictures ;-) John

    Loot!

Stunning, Jeremy - it truly is quite the bounty (to carry on the loot theme). Congratulations!

    Cook Islands Pearling Developments

It makes me want to go there. Those "long unspoilt beaches" sound very tempting after our long Rocky Mountain winter. Thanks, Steve, for providing the narrative! John

    Two new chokers...

Thanks for the feedback. I need to work on taking clearer pictures, but couldn't resist sharing. They are a lot of fun. I used to wear a lot of ties, not I have some pearl chokers instead. I should have mentioned what the other pearls are... From Top Baroque tahitian with two chocolate FWP...
