    keshi necklace at Bonhams

An interesting necklace design using black keshis--note the definition of keshi in description. Maybe confusing or even misleading for prospective buyers? :confused...

long term project: my "garden" necklace

Thanks so much Bernadette: That is a good idea. Maybe I just need to learn to drill holes with a steady hand:), If I could only find someone brave enough to show me how:confused: If anyone sees one of these that is about 40 mm at the drill hole--I would very much appreciate the source...

long term project: my "garden" necklace

Here is a work in progress. I was once an avid gardener (now a "passive" gardener--I expect to see monkeys swing through the vines any day now). I have always been fascinated by the interaction between wildflowers and the results of our efforts to create "tame" orderly gardens. I think...

    Bluesea's Pearl Designs

Hi Bluesea: This is a very beautiful and elegant design. Do you intend to expand this design to other colors and types of pearls? I think that it would be really lovely with so many different types and colors. Look forward to seeing more of your designs.

    new pieces

Thanks so much Wendy, Blaire, Cassiopiea, Bluesea and Patty. I was unsure about the knotting on the golden pearl necklace. I knotted after each pearl and then again before each pearl. Kotting before the pearl (and after the bead and spacer) was the most difficult becuase the spacer kept...

I also attach a not very good neck shot--snapped by my husband as we...

    Exotic Strands Are Coming!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting discussion. As I understand it pearl quality is a value judgement that is multi-dimensional (multiple characteristics that determine value). The most interesting question (to me) then becomes whether or not one or more of these dimensions are correlated or whether ( or which)...

    Exotic Strands Are Coming!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will there ever be any loose metallics for those of us who make jewelry? I know that you have to focus on strands, but would love some loose ones too, even if they are a little "off round":) Thanks, Beth

    Need advice on stringing material

Possibly I should add that the new pearls range from over 13 to over 14 mm with variation on each pearl less than 2 percent. Because of their size, I am especially concerned with providing adequate space between the pearls as well as good flexibility. Thanks.

    Need advice on stringing material

Hi again: I have now three glowing new pearls to add to my necklace. I have decided to use powerpro I will use the 22k gold beads (as in the temp string,) but will add for smoothness at each end of the bead between the pearl and the bead a small 22k daisy spacer. I an adding the spacers...
