What a coincidence--we will be in Peru--Machu Picchu and surrounding areas in late April. Assuming that area is repaired and reopened after the flood damage. No pearls found where we are going! Some interesting gemstones are found in some areas of Peru-- not that the mines are open to the public.

Wow! I have visions of these in all types of clear crystal--bowls, goblets, etc, arranged as a centerpiece--with exotic flowers interspersed-- for a fantasy buffet.
