    Tahitian keshi pearls

Regarding treatment, I don't know if Tahitian keshi are measured by French Polynesia the way bead-nucleated Tahitians are controlled. We need one of our experts to weigh in on that. My opinion -- since you are already in the $850 budget range, you may want to consider a Tahitian baroque strand...

    Tahitian keshi pearls

I think the keshi necklace is more expensive because the pearls are larger and the item is finished. If you buy the smaller strands, you will need to have them strung and add a clasp -- if I understand what you're asking. They mostly look like keshi Tahitian to me, but I wonder if there are a...

    Mystery graduated pearl necklace

If you're trying to source more similar pearls, I think that shape is called rondel.

    Earrings found at thrift store

My hunch is that the metal mark may have been on the clutch. It's a tough call; these could be low end Tahitians, or perhaps dyed freshwaters. Either way, they're a fun find.

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

I like pink and brown together, myself. I have an inexpensive freshwater keshi necklace that's a mix of muted rose and chocolate (yes, dyed) and I always got compliments.

Type of metal used in Tin Cups

I think the original Tin Cup (in the film) was made with flesh colored silk cord. I've also seen them with clear microfilament -- knot the filament, and the pearls sit on the knots.

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

I agree. Our body attributes are rarely perfectly matched; I recall someone talking about eyebrows, and saying, "they're sisters, not twins." My ear piercings aren't perfect, but that's life. No one notices but me. And, I too vote for bubbles! I love bubbles.

    Are these sea water pearls

Whatever they are, they appear to need a good cleaning.

Is this a 1cm sized pearl? If so, is it millions of years old?

It looks artificial to me; the crackles in the surface are suspicious. I imagine it was lost by someone else wandering the area.

    Id two tahiti? pearl pendants

The white pendant could be Akoya, it appears to be nicely round. In my opinion, the black pendant is dyed freshwater, not Tahitian.

Found these in a jewellery box.

I have used Dr. Bronner's Baby Unscented Pure Liquid Castile Soap to gently clean pearls. Jewelry loupes are inexpensive, I got one on Amazon.

    What are they...50's - 60's

I agree with all of the above ... these pearls look like baroque Akoya, which would be less expensive than round Akoya.

Where to buy loose gemstone beads?

If you're looking for inexpensive gemstone beads, try Goodwill or local charity shops. You'd be surprised what people donate. You can take them apart and use what you like.

    Great Aunt Catherine’s pearls

They're pretty and remind me of my grandmother's pearls. How long is the strand? Is the clasp marked in any way? My guess is that they are Akoya.

    Looking for Large Pendants?

I found some interesting links with a quick search. Article from Town & Country about the jewelry in Succession: https://www.townandcountrymag.com/leisure/arts-and-culture/a29464397/interview-michelle-matland-succession-jewelry/ I found an auction site for Succession. It's not unusual for...

    Looking for Large Pendants?

A lot of the jewelry on television and in movies is fake, simply based on cost and security. There are so many people on a set that it's easy to lose track of things. There are exceptions, obviously -- I've heard that the diamond bracelets worn by Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard were from her...
