A responsible seller will set a price which is fair for his or her stock, not different prices for different markets. Set your prices and see if people buy. Are you a retailer or a wholesaler? Do you supply strands or finished pieces? Is this a way to very subtly market these pearls?

Are you sure it is tarnish and not just dirt? Try soaking them in washing up liquid for a bit then some vigorous swishing.

Yellowing- at least pronounced yellowing - usually only happens with imitation pearls. I've seen lots of two thousand or so year old pearls in museums and they are still white.

Glue is useful to stop the end 'walking' itself back out of the pearl which is hiding it, which it can do. The necklace is perfectly secure still but there's a flappy end (and a flappy customer!) It's easy to remove glued thread - just get a drill bit of the correct size of the drilled hole and...

Try simply washing them first, before throwing chemicals.
