Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Yeah!!!!! That's the idea! I love your version. Very versatile. I was thinking of using a small orbit clasp on each end so it looked like a link, and I could hang a pendant off it, too. The pearls are a graduated bracelet length strand of white Fiji pearls. The center pearl is Jeremy's...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

I haven't worn these in a while. Pastel Tahitians from PP bought at my last RUCKUS. There were a whole bunch of baroque Tahitian necklaces on the table, but this was the only strand that was near round and pastel and very blue green. I've never seen another strand like it. The colors just...

Are these Mikimoto? Or able to be identified

No, the pearls are not Mikimoto. The clasp is definitely not a Mikimoto clasp. The clasp seems to say "N...." I can't make out all the letters. That could just be the brand of the clasp, though, and not the maker of the pearl necklace. However, the pearls are also very dirty and need to be...

What is this stuff on my pearls and does it make them worthless?

Is that gold paint? The pearls look like circled freshwater pearls from China. So they're very inexpensive before they did whatever that is on them. Did they paint over the blemishes a la Jackson Pollock? I'd say they're kinda worthless, at least to me they would be.

    Mikimoto?

I'm with Pattye. Contact Lang Antiques, or even Mikimoto America. It's quite an unusual piece. I'm thinking more in the $5 to $10 thou range, since it's so unusual.

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

"Coral" earrings from Kojima. They're not coral, but the baroque pearls at the bottom remind me of coral shapes. These earrings look best without a necklace, and my handspun sweater is a bit too chunky for a pearl necklace.

    Mikimoto strand

I actually called Mikimoto America or emailed them, I can't remember which. But I did speak on the phone with their repair department. They kept me informed every step of the way. I had lost an earring. This was not a stud, but had an 18K gold huggie setting. I mailed my remaining earring...
